Abstract:
To provide a composite nonwoven fabric that is excellent all in liquid absorbability, strength, and feeling of wiping and suitable for use in medical settings and at the point of care.SOLUTION: A composite nonwoven fabric is formed by laminating a pulp fiber web PFW on a spun-bonded nonwoven fabric SW so as to integrate them. The composite nonwoven fabric has 50.0 to 80.0 g/m2 of basis weight, 0.5 to 2.0 seconds of drop water absorbency that is an indicator of liquid absorbability, 300 to 490 g/m2 of water capacity (T.W.A.) that is an indicator of liquid-holding capacity. The spun-bonded nonwoven fabric SW has 9.8 to 29.4 N/25 mm of longitudinal tensile strength and 3.9 to 9.8 N/25 mm of traverse tensile strength. The pulp fiber web PFW has 10.0 to 15.0 dBV2rms of TS7 value that is an indicator of softness of the pulp fiber web PFW and 25.0 to 50.0 dBV2rms of TS750 value that is an indicator of smoothness, and 1.6 to 2.5 mm/N of TSA (D value) that is an indicator of rigidity.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
