Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compsn. for construction material showing no tendency to agglomerate and comprising a hydrophobic property-providing powdery agent which can be easily blended.
SOLUTION: This compsn. has, primarily, A) a silicic acid as a carrier substance, and B) a hydrophobic property-providing powder comprising B1) an organosilicon compd. and, as the case may be, B2) a solvent and/or B3) a hydrophobic property-providing component which is liq. at 10°C, and comprises water and an emulsifying agent, the powder having 5-80 wt.% of an organosilicon compd. based on the total of the powder. It is preferable to use, as a carrier material (A), a silicic acid prepd. by thermal decomposition or a precipitated silicic acid having a BET surface area of at least 50 m2/g.
