Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a composition which forms an odorless coating film having high persistence of hydrophilicity and excellent antibacterial and mildewproofing properties.
CONSTITUTION: This composition contains an organic/inorganic composite reaction product (A) obtained by reacting an aqueous dispersion of silica containing polymerizable vinyl group(s) and comprising a reaction product of 100 pts.wt. (solids) water-dispersible silica (i) and 0.1-10 pts.wt. polymerizable vinylsilane monomer (ii) containing hydrolyzable alkoxysilane group(s) with a polymerizable unsaturated monomer (iii) other than the monomer (ii), a curing agent (B), a hydroxylated polyester resin (C), a pyrithione antibacterial and mildewproofing agent (D), a silicone emulsion (E) and an amine (F).
