Abstract:
To provide a composition for an optical material, from which the optical material having a high refractive index and a low yellowish degree, enhanced with good balance at a high level is obtained.
The composition for the optical material contains an episulfide-based compound (A) having one or more structures represented by formula (1) in one molecule [wherein R1 denotes a 1-10C bivalent hydrocarbon group, R2 to R4 each denotes a hydrogen atom or a 1-10C monovalent hydrocarbon group, m denotes an integer of 0 or 1 and n denotes an integer of 1 to 5], a specified thiadiazole-based compound (B) and a thiol-based compound (C) having one or more SH groups in one molecule (except the thiadiazole-based compound (B)).
