PURPOSE: To improve the powder body fluidity of a composition for magnet by a method wherein powder consisting of silicon dioxide, an urea group compound or an amide group compound is used for the composition for magnet in combination with magnetic powder.
CONSTITUTION: A composition for resin-bonded magnet is manufactured by a method wherein the composition consists of magnetic alloy powder and an epoxy resin main ingredient consisting of two kinds of an epoxy resin at least having a polysulfide skeleton in a main chain and a novolak epoxy resin, is mixed with a binder, whose kinetic viscosity (25°C) using a Guardner method in 70wt.% of a butyl carbitol solution is 1×10-3m2/s or lower, then, powder consisting of silicon dioxide, an urea group compound or an amide group compound of 0.01 to 5 pts. wt. per 100 pts.wt. of the magnetic alloy powder is mixed in the composition. Thereby, a resin-bonded magnet having superior magnetic characteristics can be obtained and at the same time, the composition for magnet, which is good in powder body flow characteristics, is high in moldability and productivity and is suitable for mass production, can be obtained.
