To obtain a composition useful for suppressing harmful organisms for woven and knitted fabric and for finishing processing for endangered woven fabric and substrate, by including an extract of fruit of neem tree.
This composition comprises (A) an extract of fruit of neem tree containing an azadilactin, (B) a surfactant and optionally (c) a preparation auxiliary in a form of an aqueous preparation. Preferably, the composition is applied to the substrate so that the substrate contains 100-30,000ppm of the extract of fruit of neem tree calculated as azadilactin based on the weight of the substrate. For example, a cationic, anionic, nonionic or amphoteric surfactant or a mixture of the plural surfactants in amount of 0.05-3wt.% based on the total of the preparation is preferably used as the surfactant.
