Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a medicinal composition which contains an angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitor or its salt and is suitable for treatment or prevention of diseases in central nerve system, particularly anxiety disease. CONSTITUTION: This medicinal composition contains an angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitor or its salt, for example, a compound of formula I (n is 1 or 2; R is H, a 1-21C aliphatic group, a 3-20 alicyclic group, a 6-12C aromatic group, a 7-32 aralkyl group; R<1> is H, a 1-21C aliphatic group, a 3-20C alicyclic group, a 6-12C aromatic group, an α-amino acid side chain group; R' and R' are H, a 1-21C aliphatic group, a 3-20C alicyclic group, a group of formula II (R<10> is H, a 1-6C aliphatic group); R<4> and R<5> together with the atoms bearing these groups forms mono-, di- or tricyclic heterocyclic ring of 3-15 carbon atoms), and a new compound of formula III (five chiral carbon atoms have the S configuration; R<2> is ethyl, H; R<3> is octyl).
