Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To draw a natural shadow image which is close to reality by evading the phenomena that the shadow image becomes thicker in an overlapping area than in other areas and the translucence decreases even when shadow images overlap on a background image.
SOLUTION: Shadow objects are given to each solid model to be drawn, it is decided whether or not the shadow objects overlap with each other according to the position relation between the shadow objects given to each model to be drawn, and in an area wherein the shadow objects overlap with each other, only one of the overlapping shadow objects is displayed.
