Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To well allocate the channel codes by allocating a selected shorter channel code after it's verified that several longer channel codes dependent on the shorter channel code are available for the allocation.
SOLUTION: When a longer channel code is required, a 1st channel is selected in a processing block. Then it's decided in a decision block whether or not the selected channel is available. If the selected channel is not available, a list of chip channel codes is searched and the next channel is selected. It's decided again whether or not the next channel is available in the decision block. If the channel is available, the channel is allocated to a user in the processing block. Then the channel is marked unavailable in the processing block.
