A central processing unit 35 is provided with a system control part 351 for controlling the operation of the computer 25. The device to be diagnosed 45 is provided with a fault monitoring part 451, a timer control part 452 for deciding the fault in the diagnostic processor 15 and a means for notifying the central processing unit 35 of the fault. The diagnostic processor 15 is provided with a fault interruption detection means 151 for detecting fault occurrence in the device to be diagnosed 45 and a timer clear means 152.
