Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide an insulated conductor which can stand corona for considerably long time by mixing at least one kind among chromium oxide, iron oxide, and metallic phthalocyanine which have a specified resistivity in an insulator of the form of an organic polymer in a sufficient quantity. CONSTITUTION: An electric insulator 11 enveloping a conductor 10 is given in the form of an organic polymer containing a powder filler for protecting an insulator. The insulator 11 contains a powder filler of chromium oxide (Cr2 O3 ), iron oxide (Fe2 O3 ), metallic phthalocyanine 6, with a specific resistivity of 10<4> -10<8> Ωcmor a mixture of at least two kinds of substances among the above. Further, the quantity of the powder filler is taken to be such a content as to occupy at least 10% of the total volume of the organic polymer and the powder filler. In the case of using such a conductor, it is possible to make an insulator thinner than that in the case of using the well-known corona conductor insulator and a protector for the corona in the periphery of the conductor, so that further much conductor material can be incorporated in the coil and further great power can be obtained in a certain mechanical capacity.
