Title:
CONNECTING DEVICE FOR ELEVATOR GUIDE RAIL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3488550
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To match the centers of rail guide surfaces only by fastening a bolt and a nut by making in a connecting plate a groove which is aligned to the direction of the length of the guide rail and by making the width of the back of the one end of the guide rail fit the groove.
SOLUTION: A narrow fixing surface 9 is provided on both sides of a connecting plate 8 where rails 6, 7 are put into contact with the plate 8. A flat machined fixing surface 10 which is fitted in the groove of the connecting plate 8 with specified accuracy and pressed on the fixing surface 9 of the connecting plate is made on the connecting parts of the rails 6, 7. When the connecting plate 8 is mounted on the rail 6, it is fitted on the rail in the direction of the length thereof because the axial direction is controlled and it is fastened by a bolt and a nut. Even if the surfaces are not completely pressed on each other when they are mounted, after fastening operation is finished, they are completely pressed by the pressing force when the bolt and the nut are fastened, whereby the connecting plate 8 is correctly fixed in the direction of the length of the rail 6.
