The connection structure of the elevator guide rail includes seam plates, bolts and nuts. The seam plate is abutted on each of a rear surface of an upper end part of the lower guide rail and a rear surface of a lower end part of the upper guide rail while an upper end surface of the lower guide rail and a lower end surface of the upper guide rail are butted on each other. The bolts and nuts fasten the seam plate and the upper end part of the lower guide rail and the seam plate and the lower end part of the upper guide rail. Projecting parts are provided respectively in the upper end part of the lower guide rail and the lower end part of the upper guide rail. In the seam plate, a recessed part vertically sandwiching and fitting the projecting part of the lower guide rail and the projecting part of the upper guide rail is provided.
