CONSTITUTION: In an escalator connected with adjacent footsteps by connecting links bendable around a pin perpendicular to the horizontal pin axis and the link axis and transmitting the driving force by pressing, at least either one of the right and left connecting links can be separated at the bendable portion, half links 11a, 11b are supported by vertical links 13, 14, and they can be connected again by the structure horizontally guiding the half links 11a, 11b at the rotation section. The structure supporting the footsteps with a concave circular arc face segment train utilizing roller chains at the rotation section can also be utilized. A connection type conveying device bendable to the right and left can be obtained when the connecting links on both sides are formed with this structure.
