PURPOSE: To provide a connector having a switch operated with another connector externally coupled.

CONSTITUTION: A case 1 is composed of a substrate 3 and a cover 5. The substrate 3 supports a fixed connection piece 9 and a movable connection piece 11 respectively made of conductive pieces. The movable connection piece 11 is formed to have curvature and has a branch connection piece 15 erected in such a way as bent at an intermediate position. Also, the forward end of the movable connection piece 1 is pressed to come in contact with the fixed connection piece 9 within the recess 7 of the substrate 3. A cylindrical section 17 projected from the cover 5 surrounds the branch connection piece 15, and a pressing section 21 is housed in the cylindrical section 17. When an external connector core conductor is inserted in the pressing section 21 for contact with the branch connection piece 15 and the pressing section 21 is pushed with a suitable member, the movable connection piece 11 comes down and the continuity thereof to the fixed connection piece 9 is interrupted.
