A connector A comprises a female side housing 10 and a male side housing 30. The female side housing 10 includes: a sealing surface 13 (a female side seal part) in the outer periphery; an inner housing 11 for housing a female terminal metal fitting 19; and an outer housing 20 holding the inner housing 11 so as to move between a protection position covering the sealing surface 13 and a protection release position releasing protection to the sealing surface 13. The male side housing 30 includes: a terminal holding part 31 for holding a male terminal metal fitting 36; a hood 32 projected from the terminal holding part 31 to surround the outer housing 20; and a seal ring 34 (a male side seal part) provided in the terminal holding part 31 closely contacted with the sealing surface 13.
