Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To construct a tunnel minimizing the effect on the ground surface safely at a low cost by scraping the upper sediment in a tunnel construction range including part of the upper cross section, and constructing the remaining portion of the tunnel below a ceiling block formed with the upper shape of the tunnel at a scraped bottom face section.
SOLUTION: The ground including part of the upper cross section of a tunnel 8 to be constructed is scraped, a form is installed between circular arc-shaped timberings installed across timbering receivers on both sides, and concrete is placed on the form. A concrete ceiling block 5 formed with the upper shape of the tunnel 8 is formed at the bottom face section of a scraped section, a boring machine is installed on the ceiling block 5 to drill toward the outer periphery of the tunnel construction range, and many support piles are placed in parallel. After the completion, the upper face of the ceiling block 5 is back- filled to construct the tunnel 8 protected by the ceiling block 5 at the upper section and the support piles on the side faces.
