Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a container transport method capable of ensuring sufficient sterilization of an outer surface of a container without increasing the density of an electron beam irradiated from an electron beam processing device.SOLUTION: A method of transporting a container 2 in an electron beam processing system in which the container 2 is held and transported at a predetermined transport velocity, and an electron beam processing device 3 irradiates an outer surface of the container 2 with an electron beam during transport to sterilize the container 2, includes decreasing a transport velocity of the container 2 in an irradiation area in which the electron beam processing device 3 irradiates the container 2 with the electron beam, to be lower than the predetermined transport velocity when the container 2 passes through the irradiation area, so as to increase residence time for which the container 2 resides in the irradiation area.
