To facilitate arrangement of a start stand if necessary and to contain it under a pool deck if unnecessary by a method wherein a rotation mechanism to rotate rearward the start stand is provided between the front end base part of the start stand and a pool deck part, and the start stand is contained in the pool deck.
A front end part 5 of a start stand 4 made of FRP arranged on a pool deck 1 made of FRP is protruded toward the pool side and a grip bar 6 protruded from the start stand 4 toward the pool side is provided. A hinge 8 is formed at a front end base part 7 of the start stand 4, and a hinge 9 is also formed on the pool deck 1 side. By removing a support body 10 rotatably supported therebetween and supporting during the use of the start stand 4, the start stand 4 is rotated rearward, and contained in a space part S in the pool deck 1. To be convenient to rotation of the start stand 4, the back side 11 of the start stand 4 is formed in an arcuate shape.
