To provide a content management system configured to improve efficiency of content management, a content management method, and a program.SOLUTION: A content management system includes: an acquisition unit which acquires performance information indicating performance of a client device that displays content using 3DCG (3-Dimensional Computer Graphics); a determination unit which determines, based on the acquired performance information, whether to cause the client device to execute rendering for generating the content; and a rendering control unit which selects, when the client device executes the rendering, to transmit content information indicating information on the content to the client device, or selects, when the client device does not execute the rendering, to transmit the content generated by rendering the content information to the client device.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
