Abstract:
PURPOSE: To continuously cast a high titanium-containing steel cast slab having little surface defect.
CONSTITUTION: In the continuous casting method of the high titanium-containing steel containing 0.05-1.5wt% titanium(Ti), the continuous casting is executed by limiting the mold oscillation stroke (f) to in the range of 2-5mm and the number of mold oscillation S to ≥120 cycle/min and satisfying the condition: (the number of mold oscillation (f))×(the mold oscillation stroke s)≤600.
