Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for continuously regenerating an acrylic resin, enabling to efficiently and safely decompose the scraps of the acrylic resin into a gas, cooling the gas and recover the gas as a good liquid monomer, and to provide a method used therefor.
SOLUTION: This method for continuously regenerating an acrylic resin comprises feeding the scraps of the acrylic resin into a twin screw extruder 1 having a closed cylinder 2, thermally decomposing the fed scraps at 400-600°C, sucking the decomposition gas extruded from the tip of the extruder 1 through a residue tank 10 by the negative pressure effect of a cooler 12 and a vacuum pump and subsequently condensing the decomposition gas in the cooler 12 into a liquid monomer.
