Abstract:
PURPOSE:To perform both the omission of an exciting transformer and the stable operation of a speed control for an AC permanent magnet generator by winding double coils in the generator, supplying one to power source of AC exciter and the other to a speed controller. CONSTITUTION:The exciting current of an AC generator ACG is applied through the field coil of an AC exciter ACEX, and a diode bridge SR to a field coil FG. Windings W1, W2 are wound at a permanent magnet generator. The exciter ACEX is excited through the thyristor bridge SCR by the windings W1, and a speed signal is supplied to a governor GOV from the winding W2. The firing angle of the thyristor bridge SCR is controlled in accordance with the deviation between the output detected by an automatic voltage regulator AVR and a set value.
