PURPOSE: To prevent an error sending of alarm during cleaning of a cage by providing a urine detecting device and a switch temporarily invalidating the urine detecting operation of said urine detecting device, and operating said temporarily invalidating switch in the cleaning.

CONSTITUTION: When an operation switch is regularly put in, a detector 2 operates in the case of detecting an urination within a cage to operate an alarm 3, and also a telephone 5 is automatically connected to inform a building manager's office of the urination detection. In the cleaning of the cage, if the operation switch is preliminarily turned off, the operation of the detector 2 is invalidated, and even if electrodes 1a, 1b are splashed with a cleaning solu tion, or touched by a cleaning mop, the alarm is never sent out. Thus, it can be prevented that the building manager wastefully copes with the error operation of the detector 2. On a day when there is fear of the error operation of the detector 2 such as rainy day, the switch 6 is preliminarily turned off, so that the error sending of alarm by rainwater can be prevented.
