PURPOSE: To save the power cost of an inlet fan by providing, on the suction passage of a suction pipe of an ending device, a shutter keeping the closing of the passage during the running of the ending device and carrying out the opening motion when the ending device is stopped by a stop command of ending device form an end down spindle of the machine base.
CONSTITUTION: Using the motion of a latch 14 operating when an ending device 9 is stopped for end down mending, the pipe line of a suction pipe 8 is closed by a shutter 11 during the movement of the ending device 9 maintained at the horizontal state by the latch 14. When the latch 14 is inclined to determine the stopping position of the ending device 9, the shutter 11 is rotated according to the inclination movement to open the pipe line. Thus, even if the opening 6 of a suction duct is communicated with the suction pipe 8 of the ending device 9 during the movement of the ending device 9, the suction of external air into the duct through the pipe 8 is prevented, and the power cost to maintain the inside of the duct at a determined negative pressure is saved to provide an energy saving effect.
