The vector advancing to the tip end part of the laser outputting part from the light transmitting body fixed to a supporting part is operated, and the inner product value of the directional cosine value and the vector of the laser outputting part is operated. The inner product value is judged whether it is within the pre-determined range or not, when it is outside the range, the operation of the laser outputting part is limited. By this way, the operation of the laser robot is taught so that the connecting part between the light transmitting body and the laser outputting part is not damaged with a simple operation. Also, even though the laser outputting part operates unexpectedly, it is detected with the operation, robot control is switched into CP control and the attitude of the laser outputting part is held. Whereby, the disconnection due to the breakage of the optical fiber is prevented.
