Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid an unstable state of a servomotor while an abnormality is treated.
SOLUTION: If a time, during a maximum current limit value Imax is outputted as a current command value to a servomotor, continues for a time longer than an abnormality deciding time Te, the current command values outputted afterwards are gradually reduced to reduced current limiting values Is1, Is2, and Is3 corresponding to lapses of respective decision times Th1, Th2, and Th3. As the reduced current limiting values are continuously outputted as the current command values even after an abnormality is decided, troubles, such that a drive object is stopped in an unstable attitude by an instantaneous stop, that the object collides with an obstacle and a large current is kept on flowing, causing thermal breakdown of a servomotor and a driver, etc., can be avoided. Further, as generated torque is reduced according to the reduction of the current command value, if it is necessary to control the servomotor to stop its operation, the motor can be stopped safely.
