SOLUTION: A mail distribution server 20 encrypts attached information to be attached to an electronic mail. The mail distribution server 20 is equipped with an attached information acquiring unit 202, which acquires attached information to be attached to an electronic mail, a encryption determination unit 210, which determines whether the attached information acquired by the attached information acquiring unit 202 should be encrypted or not based on the encryption specification information that specifies attached information to be encrypted, a encryption unit 216, which encrypts the attached information that is determined to be encrypted by the encryption determination unit 210, and a transmission unit 218, which transmits an electronic mail attached with the encrypted attached information made by the encryption unit 216 to its destination.
