Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control method for tandem rolling equipment to efficiently modify a local shape of a plate end of a rolling material, and also to provide tandem rolling equipment.
SOLUTION: In the tandem rolling equipment, the shape of the plate is measured on the outlet side of a rolling mill at the final stage of a plurality of the rolling mills, and the plate is wholly separated into a central part and the plate ends in the width direction thereof. The plate thickness distribution of the plate end of the rolling material is controlled to make detection value of the shape of the plate end reach a target value on at least either an inlet side or the outlet side of the rolling mill at the final stage, and thus the plate ends are efficiently modified.
