Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically discriminate a type of a machine body.
SOLUTION: A control type magnetic bearing device comprises a machine body 1 provided with magnetic bearings 6, 7, and 8 to support in a non-contact manner a rotary body 5 by displacement sensors 23, 24, and 25 and an electromagnet, and a controller 2 to control an exciting current supplied to the electromagnets. The controller 2 is provided with a digital signal processor(DSP) 18 to output a digital control signal to control an exciting current based on a digital displacement signal. The DSP 18 is provided with a discriminating means to discriminate a type of the machine body 1. The discriminating means varies a target position after the rotary body 5 is supported in a non-contact manner in a given target position and discriminates the type of the machine body 1 based on the answer state of the current rotary body 5.
