Abstract:
PURPOSE: To favorably cool not only an engine part but peripheral devices such as a muffler, improve safety, dustproof property, and waterproof property, and realize decrease of noise.
CONSTITUTION: A bonnet 5 covering the upper part and the side part of the circumference of an engine 2 is provided, three chambers, a starting device chamber 30, an engine chamber 20, and a muffler chamber 40 are defined by partition walls 61, 62 within the bonnet, these three chambers are connected to each other in order through passages 61a, 62a, and cooling air is forcedly passed through the duct-like passage from the intake side 30 to the exhaust side 40. High temperature parts and vibrating parts surrounding the engine are covered with the bonnet 5, hence safety and dustproof/waterproof property are improved, and leakage of engine sound and exhaust sound to the outward are reduced.
