Abstract:
PURPOSE:To enable to establish smooth starting characteristic and torque by AC exciting an induction motor in which a brake is operated in nonoperated state, and previously establishing a magnetic flux, thereby reducing noise and loss. CONSTITUTION:A current command 7 is operated at the time of starting while a brake 4 is operated, and AC current followed to the command is flowed to an induction machine 3. This current is flowed to an exciter to establish a magnetic flux. When a weakened field is used by considering the noise and loss of the machine, the command 7 is reduced in amplitude. When the establishing of the magnetic flux is AC excited for the purpose at the starting time in an article moving device having a mechanical interlock, smooth starting characteristic can be obtained without causing electric transient phenomenon at the brake releasting time.
