PURPOSE: To eliminate the deformation and/or ignition of a component such as a heat insulating plate or the like of an evaporator near a defrosting heater due to overheating upon the trouble in a finish of defrosting detecting means by a method wherein the operating and stopping time of the defrosting heater is fluctuated in accordance with a temperature in the body of a vending machine.
CONSTITUTION: A temperature ta before stopping the conduction of a defrosting heater 14 is set in A1, A2, B1, the conduction starting time hc of the defrosting heater 14 and the conduction stopping time hd of the defrosting heater 14 are set in C1, D1, D2 respectively through a setting means 18. It is decided whether a time hc counted by a timer 17 is equal to the set time C1 or not. When it is YES, the counting of the timer 17 is started, and a refrigerating machine 3 and a cold air ventilating fan motor 6 are turned OFF and the defrosting heater 14 is turned ON. Next, a detecting temperature ta detected by a temperature detecting means 15 is compared with the set temperature B1, while a time hd counted by the timer 17 is compared with the set time D1. When ta≥B1, hd=D1, ta<B1, hd=D2, the fan motor 6 is turned ON and the defrosting heater 14 is turned OFF.
