Abstract:
PURPOSE: To reduce frequency of occurrence of yarn breakage by controlling holding power of weft yarn in a stretch nozzle on the side opposite to picking according to tension of weft yarn.
CONSTITUTION: The tension of weft yarn 2 after picking is compared with the set value based on the measured values thereof by a controlling part and an operator 17 of a stretch nozzle 13 is driven by ONOFF control or proportional control according to the results of comparison. Holding power of the weft yarn in a stretch nozzle 4 is regulated following the regulation of a feeding state of compressed air from a compressed air source 33 into the stretch nozzle without excessively increasing the weft yarn tension.
