Abstract:
PURPOSE: To appropriately retrieve modification between clauses which are written with a space by adjusting it to the characteristic of Japanese language and to obtain a desired KANA (Japanese syllabary)/KANJI (Chinese character) conversion candidate.
CONSTITUTION: At the time of writing Japanese with a space between clauses, the check range of modification is set to the positions of right and left parentheses or the position of a punctuation mark so as to specify it. In the range, a modification dictionary is retrieved (step S420), and priority is given over a modifying word from a subsequent clause, and the realization of modification is checked from the clauses with a small distance (steps S460 and S550). The allowance of an attached word is analyzed between the modifying word and a modified word (step S480). When modification is once realized, the range of modification is managed (step S500) and only modification satisfying modification which is once realized is allowed (steps S540 and 550).
