Abstract:

CONSTITUTION: The system is provided with a coder having a data compression processing circuit applying compression coding processing to received video data and recording compression video data from the data compression processing circuit onto a magnetic tape and a decoder having a data expansion processing circuit 22 applying conversion and decoding processing to compressed video data Dv recorded onto the magnetic tape and decoding the compressed video data into original reproduction video data Dv. A distortion suppression processing means 41 applying a band limit adaptively in a time base direction to reproduced video data BDv after decoding based on motion vector data detected by motion compensation processing, vector detection information and edition information Sh detected by a detection circuit in a recording decoder 31 is provided in a post stage of the data expansion processing circuit 22.
