Abstract:
To retain a paper bundle without contacting the paper bundles to each other and without immediately stopping an upstream device.SOLUTION: Conveyance units 10A-10D are provided side by side along a conveyance path G, between an upstream device 2 and a downstream device 3. Each conveyance unit includes a conveyor 11 for conveying a paper bundle T, a sensor 12 for detecting the paper bundle T, and a control part 13 for controlling the conveyor 11. When the control part 13 of each conveyance unit receives a retaining signal from a downstream device 3 or the conveyance units 10B-10D disposed downstream, the conveyor 11 is controlled based on a detection by the sensor 12 so that the conveyor 11 stops the paper bundle T in a retained state on a conveyance surface 110 when the paper bundle T is conveyed from upstream. Furthermore, the control part 13 of each conveyance unit sends the retaining signal to the conveyance unit 10A-10C or the upstream device 2 disposed upstream based on a retention of the paper bundle T.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
