Abstract:
To provide means in which a side guide is smoothly movable and which can correctly perform positioning.SOLUTION: An image recording device 100 comprises: a conveyance roller pair 16; a frame 31 which has a guide part 30; a pair of side guides 32 which is guided by the guide part 30 and is movable in the left-right direction 9; and an interlock mechanism 50 which interlocks the movement in the left-right direction 9 of the pair of side guides 32. The interlock mechanism 50 comprises: a first right rack gear 52 and a first left rack gear 53 which is connected to the pair of side guides 32; a second right rack gear 54 and a second left rack gear 55 which are movable to the first position where they have the same phase as the first right rack gear 52 and the first left rack gear 53 and to the second position where they deviate in phase from the first right rack gear and the first left rack gear; a pinion gear 51 which is engaged with each rack gear; and a coil spring 58 which biases the second right rack gear 54 and the second left rack gear 55 toward the second position relative to the first right rack gear 52 and the first left rack gear 53.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 10
