PURPOSE: To cool a fan for a long time as far as possible, making use of the heat energy generated from an integrated circuit with very compact size, in the cooling of the integrated circuit such as a semiconductor, etc., used for a note-type personal computer.
CONSTITUTION: This is a cooler for electronic components, which comprises a thermoelectric element 2 joined on the topside of an electronic component such as a semiconductor element, etc., a fan motor 5 forming a closed circuit with the element 2, an accumulating means 16 connected in parallel with the fan motor 5 of the closed circuit, a control means breaking the flow of the current to the fan motor 5 when the current flowing from the thermoelectric element 2 is not more than the specified level, and a fan joined with the drive shaft of the fan motor 5, and in which the heating side of the thermoelectric element 2 is abutted against the side of the semiconductor element.
