To provide a cooling device capable of cooling a control board while preventing dew condensation by using one or no temperature detection means.
The cooling device is provided with: a cooling unit 44 for cooling air within a control box 42 by exchanging heat with a refrigerant; a fan 54 for stirring the air within the control box; fan driving means 56 for controlling driving of the fan; and in-control-box temperature detection means 60 for detecting the temperature in the control box. A fan driving control device is configured to stop the fan when the in-control-box temperature detecting means detects a temperature below a predetermined temperature and to drive the fan when the in-control-box temperature detecting means detects a temperature above the predetermined temperature. Even when one temperature detection means needed for temperature detection is available or not available, a temperature rise of a control component can be suppressed while dew condensation is prevented so as to actualize an air conditioner with high reliability.
