To provide a copying machine to automatically process a paper sheet, cut in a tip cut mode during change of a roll, without taking a time by a user.
A paper sheet 550 cut in a tip cut mode is discharged to the outside of a copying machine through a conveyance route in a manner similar to discharge of a roll paper 4C during ordinary copying. The length of the cut paper sheet 550 is set to a value longer than an arrangement distance between conveyance rollers 33 and 37 arranged in the conveyance route and this way performs discharge. There is no need for a user to remove the paper sheet 550 and operability is excellent. In a conventional type, when the paper sheet 550 is left non-removed by a user and a jam occurs when subsequent copying is effected but such a case described above is prevented from occurring.
