PURPOSE: To charge packages massproduced by an automatic charging and packaging machine in a large bag every at a certain number thereof.

CONSTITUTION: In a guide way 15 provided along the upper face of a beltconveyor 10, the number of passing packages 17 is measured by a sensor 20 and the direction of an actuator 22 is changed by the rotation around a pin 16 axis when the number gets to a preset figure. When packages are stacked on a trough type bag-receiving seat 28 at one side, other packages on a bag- receiving seat 29 at the other side are compressed by a comb-shaped pressing member 34. To the contrary, when packages are stacked on the other bag- receiving seat 29, other packages on the bag-receiving seat 28 of one side, are compressed. The packages on both bag-receiving seats 28, 29 are alternately pushed in a large bag 51 by a plate projected to the lower side of the beltconveyor 10.
