Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a product having both advantageous characteristics of conventional pigment particles and precipitated calcium carbonate (PCC), especially the product in which titanium dioxide particles are separated from each other by a desired distance.
SOLUTION: This product of the pigment particles is obtained by mixing the pigment particles such as kaolin, natural calcium carbonate, titanium dioxide or the like with the precipitated calcium carbonate in an aqueous phase of pH 6-11 for covering the pigment particles with the precipitated calcium carbonate particles. The obtained product of the pigment particles is excellent in whiteness, and the production is performed at a widely low cost.
