Abstract:
PURPOSE:To permit a chain to be easily mounted to a tire extending a side chain by providing a ring, for the side chain able to pass through, in one end or both ends of a cross chain. CONSTITUTION:A cross chain 9, positioned in an inner side chain 11 in its free end 13, provides a through ring 3 in a side of an outer side chain 10. In this way, each free end 13, 14 of each inner and outer side chain 11, 10 is extended to a fixed part of a cross chain 12. When the chain, thus constituted, is mounted to a tire 17, first drawing out the free end 13 of the inner side chain 11, its end part is stopped to a stopper fixture 15. Next the free end 14 of the outer side chain 10 is inserted through the through ring 3, thereafter an end part of the chain 10 is stopped to a stopper fixture 16. By the method thus obtained, the chain can be easily mounted to the tire 17 with no necessity for moving or jacking up and automobile.
