Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the working rate of an equipment enhance, and also the make upper and lower work rolls cross each other by a small driving power.
SOLUTION: This rolling mill is constituted by moving an upper cross head 1 and a lower cross head 2 in the opposite directions each other, which are perpendicular to a roll axial direction, by turning upper and lower roll chocks 55 and 56 in the opposite directions each other, and by making upper and lower rolls 51 and 52 cross each other. In this case, a recessed spherical liner 5 is provided at the tip part of each cross head, and also both side surfaces of each roll chock are formed to planes, and a sliding surface to the recessed spherical liner 5 is formed to a convex sphere with almost the same radius as that of the recessed sphere. And also, at least one spherical liner 3 whose sliding surfaces to both side surfaces of the roll chock are formed to planes, is freely slidably mounted on the plane parts on both sides of each roll chock and at the tip part of the cross head each.
