A database 502 stores customers data 601, in which telephone numbers and information of customers and mail addresses of respective persons in charge of individual customers, are described. When the telephone terminal of a person in charge of a customer is set to an unattended mode, and a call from the customer is arrived via a public telephone network 2, a server/client terminal 5a searches the customers data 601 possessing the telephone number that is identical with the caller's number notified along with the arrival of the call, generates an electronic mail containing the customer's information and destined for the mail address of the person in charge of the customer, and sends the mail to the public telephone network 2, on which the electronic mail service is available via a LAN 6 and a router/public telephone network adapter 7.
