To provide an effective culturing method for Cordyceps (plant worm) capable of improving a useful constituting component thereof.

This method for culturing Cordyceps is to add an extract of an insect belonging to the same kind of insect to which the Cordyceps is parasitic on, to a culturing medium for culturing the Cordyceps. Especially, a synthetic medium containing glucose and a very small amount of amino acids and vitamin B s, is used an 3-10wt.% insect extract based on the glucose is added thereto.
