Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a curable composition capable of giving cured products with highly sustainable heat resistance and weatherability and improved coatability with alkyd coating materials by making the composition include s specific vinyl polymer and a polymeric plasticizer. SOLUTION: This curable composition is obtained by including (A) 100 pts.wt. of a vinyl polymer having at least one crosslinkable functional group (pref. (meth)acrylic polymer or the like) and (B) 5-150 pts.wt. of a polymeric plasticizer (pref. vinyl polymer, more pref. (meth)acrylic polymer); wherein the molecular weight distribution of the component A (the ratio of weight-average molecular weight to number-average molecular weight determined by gel permeation chromatography) is pref. <1.8, and the component A is prepared preferably by a living radical polymerization; and the number-average molecular weight of the component B is pref. 500-15,000.
