Abstract:
PURPOSE: To visually confirm the deforming process of a displayed image by multiplying a vector field function of a partially deformed area by a deformation vector and acquiring a position vector showing a deformed curved surface by a specific recurrence formula for each deforming operation.
CONSTITUTION: A position vector is designated to show an acting point CP*i (=Xi, Yi) on an original surface SOR of an xy plane, and a deforming operation of a curved surface is carried out by a computer only in a deformed area including the acting point. A curved surface is deformed in the deformed area by a recurrence formula applying an expression (transformation expression). In this formula, P*i means a position vector showing each point of a deformed curved surface formed in a three-dimensional space. The vector P*i is represented as the sum of a position vector P*i-1 of the corresponding point on the undeformed surface SOR and a deformed amount V*i*Fi(P*i-1, CP*i) from the undeformed position vector. This deformed amount is represented by a position vector which is acquired by multiplying a vector field function Fi (P*i-1, CP*i) by a deformation vector V*i.
