To provide a cushioning material for mattresses which has superior breathability without forming through-holes, has sufficient cushioning property without requiring the stacking of elastic films and has soft elasticity.
This cushioning material being stored in a cover material and forming the mattress is formed by layering a first layer foam 12 positioned on a human body side and a second layer foam 14 positioned on the lower side, wherein the first layer soft foam 12 and the second layer soft foam 14 are formed into a profile having recesses and projections of the same arrangement. The first layer soft foam 12 and the second layer soft foam 14 are bonded to and layered on each other at the recesses and projections 16 and 18 to form this cushioning material 10 for mattresses.
